About Test

  1. Complete blood count (CBC): This test measures the number and types of cells in the blood, including red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets.

  2. Hemoglobin and hematocrit tests: These tests measure the amount of hemoglobin (the protein in red blood cells that carries oxygen) and the percentage of red blood cells in the blood.

  3. Blood smear: A blood smear is a microscopic examination of a blood sample, used to identify abnormalities in the appearance and function of blood cells.

  4. Coagulation tests: These tests evaluate the function of the clotting system, including tests of clotting factors, platelet function, and fibrinolysis.

  5. Bone marrow biopsy: This test involves taking a small sample of bone marrow (the spongy tissue inside bones that produces blood cells) and examining it under a microscope, to diagnose blood disorders and evaluate the health of blood-forming cells.

  6. Serum protein electrophoresis: This test measures the amount and types of proteins in the blood, including antibodies and immunoglobulins.
